Planning approved at Ampleforth College

Planning has been approved for the Theatre Square enclosure at Ampleforth College, North Yorkshire.

The proposal includes the formation of a stone boundary wall and railings with integral vehicular and pedestrian gates.

Located on the north slopes of a 2km-wide valley within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the College has a significant history dating back to 1802.

We have been appointed to provide sympathetic structural engineering design services and advice, including reinforcing wide slab type foundations, raising ground levels, installing a new precast drainage channel, and underpinning of existing curved wall foundations.
